Here is how you can easily install your ceiling fan in 5 steps!

Install your Ceiling fan in just 5 easy steps!

It is summertime, and you are considering replacing or adding a new fan to your room. You still prefer an electrician to install your ceiling fan. And you are here to see if you can install the new Ceiling fan yourself. Because you might need clarification on all the ceiling fan wiring. Right?

Well, you are just in the right place if this is the case!

What do you need for the installation of a ceiling fan?

You need to be an engineer with a master’s degree in electrical engineering. With a ton of experience in the field and fancy electrical tools.
Just kidding!
But some people actually think that’s all you need to install a ceiling fan.

Uniquely, you only need-

  1. Electrical tape
  2. Screwdriver (4 in 1)
  3. Drill Bits Wrench
  4. Ladder

And most importantly, “The Ceiling Fan”.

Start installing your ceiling fan

Installing a ceiling fan is not rocket science. It is as easy as fixing a flat tire. Don’t worry, you won’t tangle up with the ceiling fan’s wiring- like you do with your earphones.

Step 1: Clean the room !The first step towards installing a ceiling fan is to clean the room where the fan is going to be installed. Installing a fan will require space and a ladder.Don’t have unnecessary things lying around the room that can be unsafe while on the ladder. Remove all possible distractions from your surroundings.

Step 2: Cut the power !The second step is to cut off the power supply to the room. The fan needs to be installed. Not cutting the power off can lead to serious electrocution accidents. So unless you don’t want to feel what electricity feels like, take precautions, as safety should be the foremost priority.

Step 3: It's time to mount the junction box and mounting bracket !

The next step is to climb up the ladder. Once up above the world, so high!

  1. Install the junction box for the ceiling fan.
  2. Insert the brace into the hole.
  3. Twist it till it locks on the ceiling joist.
  4. After that, attach the U-bolt bracket to the center bolts (facing outward).
  5. Attach the cable wire and move the junction box up.
  6. Secure the bolts on the side.

    Now, for the next steps.

    1. Line up the mounting bracket with the junction box.
    2. Slip the wire through its center
    3. Tighten the bolts with a wrench.

Remember: Make sure the bolts are tight because they are what support the ceiling fan.

      Step 4: Install the downrod!

Now for this step, first ensure that the size of the downrod is correct for the Ceiling fan, and make adjustments at the initial steps only.

The downrods attach the fan blades to the ceiling and extend the distance between them.

The downrod angle needs to be correctly placed if you don’t want to install the ceiling fan again.

Also, the correct angle minimizes the risk of accidents.

      Step 5: Add the blades!
This is the final step in installing your ceiling fan.
      1. Using the tools, attach every blade bracket to the fan blade.
      2. Now, attach each blade to the fan.
      3. Screw the fan blades onto the blade arms.
      4. Drive the screws slowly to avoid bending the blades.
      5. Turn ON the power.
Voila! You just installed your ceiling fan on your own.

Why do you need to install a Ceiling fan in your room?

Wondering why you should install a ceiling fan in your room? Electrical ceiling fans are the best way to maintain comfort without increasing your utility bill. In luxurious homes, electrical ceiling fans are making a significant comeback.

Here, see for yourself why you need a ceiling fan.

      Equal air on every corner!

Do you want to maintain a constant temperature in the house? The best way to distribute AC power is through ceiling fans. The ceiling fan helps to keep the temperature in the room cool, especially with the Longway ceiling fan, which can bring the coolest breeze to every corner of the room.

      Reduce electricity bills.

HVAC systems are less efficient than ceiling fans. The room temperature can be reduced by using a fan. Ultimately resulting in less monthly savings on utility bills.

Longway ceiling fans are incredibly affordable compared to air conditioners.

      All-year-round functionality

In winter, the ceiling fans distribute warm air and cool the room. Some indoor and outdoor ceiling fans have a feature that places a small switch above the motor. Use it to control the direction of the blades. Remember that rotating a part counter-clockwise will cool it, and rotating it clockwise will heat it up.

      Environment friendly

Ceiling fans can be used to reduce HVAC system consumption. A fan is less extreme than an air conditioner and will never cause a cold, or sore throat.

      Low maintenance

Unlike fans, which only require an electrical outlet, air conditioning requires the installation of ducts, external devices, etc. Ceiling fans require minimal maintenance and can be cleaned with a soft cloth without damaging the finish.
